Major Briana Davis began her career in 1995 as a dispatcher with the Cheraw Police Department. In 1996, she graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. Briana became the first female law enforcement officer to work for Cheraw PD. She has 24 years with the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office.

A short while later, Briana began working for the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office while Kenny Welch was Sheriff. She started out as an investigator where she was also appointed as the liaison between the Sheriff's Office and DSS. For a few years, Briana was the D.A.R.E. officer for the agency before transferring back to investigations in 2002. Briana moved through the ranks to Sergeant and then again to Lieutenant over investigations in April of 2005. She served as Chief Deputy prior to her current position as Major over uniform patrol.
