Lieutenant Marc Weiss

Marc began his career in law enforcement in 2000 while in Pennsylvania. In 2003, he became a police officer in Columbia, South Carolina until 2007. After 2007, Marc took a break from law enforcement to focus on his other passion: teaching.

Marc was an instructor at Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw for nine years. After this stint, he accepted a position as a department head at Williamsburg Technical College. During this period of time, Marc also served as a part-time Deputy Coroner for Chesterfield County Coroner, Kip Kiser. Marc holds a PhD in Public Policy and Administration with specialization in Criminal Justice and Homeland Security, a Master's in Criminal Justice and hours in Sociology and Business Computer Information Systems.

Sheriff James Dixon hired Marc in 2019 as the Lieutenant over training for the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office. Marc is responsible for keeping up with compliance for the deputies' law enforcement certifications, monthly training, and grant writing for the sheriff's office.
