Lieutenant Timmy Knight

Lieutenant Timmy Knight

A native of Chesterfield County, Lt. Timmy Knight has been a deputy with Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office since August of 2000. Timmy was initially hired as a patrol deputy by former-Sheriff Kenny Welch. He quickly rose through the ranks all the way to First Sergeant over a shift on patrol. Two years ago, Timmy became a school resource officer at Cheraw High School.

When Sheriff James (JD) Dixon began office in January 2019, Timmy was promoted to Lieutenant over supply and vehicles. With his current position, Timmy is responsible for any and all needs of the deputies: from overseeing to uniforms, equipment, and keeping track of inventory throughout the department.
